You can use Voqelo for personal or business use. Don't try to break it, abuse it, or resell it. Subscriptions are monthly, no refunds for partial months, but you can cancel any time. We provide the service "as is" and our liability is limited to what you paid us in the last 12 months.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Voqelo ("we," "us," or "our") regarding your use of our Chrome extension, website (voqelo.com), and any related services (together, the "Service").
By installing the extension, creating an account, or paying for a subscription, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
Voqelo is a Chrome extension that adds voice input and output to claude.ai (and, in future, other AI chat platforms). It uses your browser's speech recognition for input and third-party text-to-speech providers (OpenAI, ElevenLabs) for voice output.
Voqelo is an independent product. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, or any other AI provider. You need a separate account with the AI provider you intend to use.
To use paid features, you must sign in with Google. You agree to:
You must be at least 18 years old to subscribe to a paid plan, or have parental consent if younger and permitted by your local law.
The free tier is available without payment. It uses your browser's built-in voices and is limited to that capability.
The 7-day trial gives you 25,000 characters of Standard (OpenAI) voice access. The trial ends automatically — no card is required to start, and you won't be charged unless you choose to subscribe.
Standard (£5.99/month) and Premium (£12.99/month) are billed monthly via Stripe. Prices are in GBP and may be subject to applicable taxes (e.g. VAT) added at checkout.
Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. You can cancel any time from your account.
No refunds are offered for partial months. When you cancel, your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period and then drops to the free tier. We don't pro-rate refunds. This is industry-standard for subscription software.
If you believe you've been charged in error or there's a serious service failure, contact us at voqelo.app@gmail.com and we'll review your case in good faith.
If a payment fails, we'll attempt to retry it. After repeated failures, your subscription will be downgraded to the free tier until payment is resolved.
We may change prices for new subscribers at any time. For existing subscribers, we'll give 30 days' notice by email before any price increase takes effect.
Each paid tier includes a monthly character allowance for premium voice generation. Once you reach your limit:
To prevent abuse, we enforce per-minute and per-day rate limits in addition to monthly caps. These limits are generous for normal human use but will block automated or scripted requests.

Voqelo, our website, our extension, and all related materials are owned by us and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service while your account is in good standing.
Voice content generated by OpenAI or ElevenLabs is subject to their respective terms. Voqelo grants you the right to use generated audio for personal use; commercial use of generated voice content is permitted within the limits of the underlying TTS provider's licence.
The Service depends on third-party providers (Anthropic for Claude, OpenAI for TTS, ElevenLabs for TTS, Google for OAuth, Stripe for payments). We are not responsible for the availability, performance, or terms of these third parties.
If a third-party provider experiences an outage or changes its API in a way that affects the Service, we will work to restore functionality as quickly as possible but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties — express or implied — including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any defects will be corrected. AI-generated content is not always accurate, and you should not rely on it for medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service is limited to the greater of (a) £100 or (b) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, data, or goodwill.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded by law (such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud).
You may terminate your account at any time by cancelling your subscription and uninstalling the extension.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, abuse the Service, fail to pay, or if we discontinue the Service. We will give reasonable notice unless immediate action is necessary to protect the Service or other users.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (e.g. intellectual property, liability, governing law) will remain in effect.
We may add, remove, or change features at any time. If a change materially reduces what you've paid for, we'll notify subscribers and offer either a credit or pro-rated refund at our discretion.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent version. Significant changes will be communicated by email to subscribers at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
